The name of MU’s business school just got a little longer and more distinguished; as of Oct. 19, 2007, it is now officially the Robert J. Trulaske, Sr. College of Business.
Trulaske earned a business degree from Mizzou in 1940. After a stint at Procter & Gamble and service as a combat pilot in World War II, he began a successful career by starting a company with family members.
Trulaske, who died in 2004, credited his education at MU as the foundation for his business success. Over the years he and his wife, Geraldine, have given back accordingly to the college that now bears his name: through endowed scholarships, endowed faculty positions and now through a gift designed to aid the college in strategic planning.
