SEC welcomes Mizzou and Texas A&M
Tigers got a sneak preview of Southern hospitality before Mizzou's official July 1 entry into the Southeastern Conference. Helping newcomers feel at home, commissioner Mike Slive and the SEC joined a kickoff celebration in Atlanta, Ga., June 6. Nearly 1,000 supporters attended the event, extending a big, warm "Howdy, y'all" to Mizzou and Texas A&M, the 13th and 14th members of the conference.
Mizzou's first football game in the SEC takes place on Faurot Field Sept. 8 against Georgia.Read more in: Sports, Family & Community, Beyond Campus
